The Imbalance market is a mechanism to alter imbalances between supply and consumption on the National Grid. When an excess of electricity occurs, you can seize the opportunity to buy at a low price. And when there is a shortage, it may be favourable to sell. This occurs every fifteen minutes. You may trade up till the relevant transaction date.
